Studio Pricing & Policies

Please review the Footnotes' account policies and pricing structure below. Any questions or concerns can be directed to the front desk or sent to support@footnotesdancestudio.com.

Tuition + Fees

  • Monthly Billing: Tuition is automatically debited on the 20th of each month to your card on file.

  • Registration Fee: A $40 membership fee is due at the time of registration each season. This fee is per dancer and secures your spot in class; therefore, it is non-refundable. Multi-student discounts are applicable.

  • Multi-Class Discount: A $2 multi-class discount is provided for students enrolled in multiple classes or families with more than one child.

  • Tuition Membership: Our policy is that you are purchasing a reserved place in a class rather than a single session. No credit or refunds are issued for missed classes due to illness, local holidays, or personal schedule changes.

Payment Policies

To keep things simple for our families, Footnotes Dance Studio uses an automatic payment system. Tuition is billed on the 20th of every month and processed via autopay using the card on file in your Parent Portal.

Please ensure your payment details are kept up to date. A late fee of $15 will be applied to accounts with a remaining balance after the 25th of the month. If tuition remains unpaid after 30 days, student participation in class will be suspended until the balance is settled.

Refund & Withdrawal Policy

We understand that family schedules can change. If you need to withdraw from a class, please notify Footnotes Dance Studio by submitting an email or text request by the 15th of the month to avoid automatic payments.

Tuition is calculated as a flat monthly rate and is not prorated based on attendance. Please note that we do not offer refunds, credits, or tuition adjustments for classes missed due to illness, local holidays, vacations, or general personal commitments during the season.

Consistent participation is vital for your child’s progress and artistic confidence. While we cannot provide refunds for individual absences, we believe that regular attendance ensures the highest quality of instruction and performance preparation for every student at Footnotes.

Recital & Performance Requirements

Annual Performances & Year-End Recital

At our annual year-end recital, our dancers experience a remarkable journey filled with unforgettable moments. From custom-made costumes to on-stage dress rehearsals and professional photoshoot sessions, the experience is designed to celebrate their dedication, hard work, and growth. This is their opportunity to shine on stage, creating lasting memories and showcasing their passion for dance in an unforgettable performance.

Show Assignments

How many recital shows are there?

There will be a total of four recital shows held in June at the Gallo Theater in Modesto.

How many shows will my child perform in?

Most dancers will perform in two shows. Dancers in the MÜVEMENT classes (ages 3 & under) typically perform in one show, with an opt-in option to add a second show if space permits.

Can I choose which show my child participates in?

Specific show assignments (Show A or B) are determined at enrollment. To minimize total performance days for families with multiple classes, we recommend registering for classes assigned to the same show block.

Participation Expectations

  • Dancers must be present for ALL assigned shows and their designated Dress Rehearsal date at the theater.
  • Dress Rehearsals are held in full costume on the theater stage and are mandatory for final performance eligibility.
  • Parents will receive access to our Recital Hub in mid-March, which contains all specific dates, times, and costume requirements.
  • Costumes are required for all recital performances.

Detailed show schedules and rehearsal times are typically released in April of each season in the Recital Hub.
